Christopher ran around the park's "jungle gym" (I wonder if they're still called jungle gyms or if I'm just showing my age and/or ignorance in the equipment in modern parks/playgrounds).
I was able to get a shot of where Christopher was playing Hide-and-Seek with Matt-Man.
Got some good shots of Matthew playing with Mommy on a bench about 20-25 yards away.
Christopher on the swing....he loves the swing. He spent nearly 30-minutes on the swing. We worked on the appropriate kicking motions for maintaining the swinging without help. It started off well, but then he lost interest in trying to learn how and just wanted to be pushed. I obliged after he was able to show me he could kick appropriately for a few turns. He had to earn my labor! I can tell you that pushing X-man on the swing while trying to get those pictures of Matthew proved to be a lot of work.
Just a good shot of the Matt-man...
I think they're still called jungle gyms....right? Or just playgrounds or play areas or circumscribed spheres of play. Christopher is rocking those monkey bars! Those were always my favorite, although there was the one famous incident where I went back and forth so many times I pulled the skin off my palms. Whoops! Anyway, I'm sure the boys are way way smarter than their goofy Aunt Karen.
ReplyDeleteI really like that hide-and-seek shot! Nice job strategizing your swing-pushing with your photography. That last shot of Matthew is beyond adorable. How on earth did you get him to sit still? :D
HA! "Circuscribed spheres of play"...initially I thought it read, "Circumsized spheres of play", which is pretty hilarious...a bit off-color and possibly off-point, but hilarious nonetheless.
ReplyDeleteI didn't get him to stand still...My new camera has an adjustable screen, so I flipped it up, positioned the camera close to the ground and snapped the shot. Thanks for the compliments.
You really rubbed the skin from your hands?
