Playtime on His Music Playtable from the Lynn Sisters

Christopher's Christmas present from the Lynn Ladies (and you know who you are). He absolutely loves it...almost as much as he loves running aimlessly around in circles in his activity center. I loves the piano...maybe I've got the next Bill Evans or Oscar Peterson molding here! Who knows?

A note: This video was taken prior to the "Pulling Myself Up" video...hence his apparent difficulty rising to a standing position.

The "Pull Myself Up" Vids

Here are some actions shots of Christopher pulling himself up utilizing the most stable gripping surface available to him at the time...Colleen's leg. Then inching over to get his Valentine's Day present from his mother. Enjoy the show.

He Spits Madd Flows, Yo

Yeah, yeah.....uh....uh...to the hip, hip-hop you don't stop...to the hop, pimp-rockin' girls flock...to the heat, drip-droppin' flow-bots...I kick the beat, jaw-droppin' bass rocks!

WURD UP!

Guess Who Can Now Pull Himself Up

So, last week he was crawling...then he was trying to get himself to two feet...then this....

But my favorite look was his face after I walked into the room...this was of course after Colleen yelled out to me to come into his room and to make sure I bring the camera for an opportune photo opportunity.

I love the coy and almost arrogant look on his face...beaming with pride that made it up to two feet and there was nothing his mother or father could do about his development into toddlerism.

So...

!!we put him in jail!!

I'm only kidding...we would never do that. I can say, however, that as exciting as it is to see him learn these new things, it has a wierd sensation of sadness because he's getting older and, in a way, we're 1 day closer to him not being a baby anymore. Oh wait...1 day closer to him not being our little baby anymore!

Christopher Crawling

I told you guys I'd have some vids of him crawling. He's upgraded from his "military crawling under barbwire" crawl to an almost fully legitimate crawl....uhm...crawl.

He's Sleeping....

The answers to your questions...

1.) No, he's not getting up....he's actually sleeping...
2.) He can and is breathing, even though he doesn't appear to be doing so...
3.) I have no idea why or how he finds that in the least bit comfortable...

New Pics...Just Cute

I just took some random shots over the last 2 days and posted the one I thought were kind of cute. Picture 1: his hair is starting to curl up, but it has retained the brownish-reddish-esque hue he was born with.

The next two shots involve a story...allbeit a short, way too long and somewhat senseless story...

Last night, Christopher had apparently vomitted up some of his 16:00 feeing all over his crib. Colleen woke him up this morning with his head lying in a pool of wet, half-digested broccoli. He was instantly bathed, temperature taken (normal)...any applicable first aid care was completed within 2 minutes of us finding him in this state. He was noted to probably be ok after watching him eat his breakfast and making sure he was able to keep it down, which was met with success. After some deliberation between Colleen and myself, we decided that he should go to Day Care and to have her call one of us if any problems arise (We really lucked out with a great Day Care situation).

So off we went to Day Care. I dropped him off and gave her our instructions. Around 9:30 a.m., Colleen called Terry (the lady who watched Christopher during the day) to check his status. Terry laughed and told Colleen that Christopher had an "explosion" that was apparently nothing like she had ever seen. Colleen called me at work to give me the report. Colleen told me that she and Terry had talked and decided to give Christopher another chance. He had a couple more "poops," but none were of the apparent magnitude of the first. After I arrived at Terry's home to pick up Christopher I got the first hand report.

Christopher was in a high chair sitting with the other kids while they were doing some craft. She thought she smelled something and decided to check Christopher for a diaper change. When she picked him up, his back was "soggy" and there was something running slowly down his ankles. A diaper change was a definite to-do, but not before he was stripped down for a bath. At this point, she discovered that Christopher had exploded to such a degree that he had "poop" from his diaper north to the top of his neck....south down to both ankles....and had at least started a journey around his sides to such a magnitude that he had "poop" in his armpits. She immediately gave him a bath and change of diapers and clothes. No more worries.

Until later when Christopher was napping. He wet through the diaper and his spare outfit...and he had two more "poop" that paled in comparison to the Mt. St. Helens erruption that had occurred that morning. He didn't have any more spares, so Terry put a t-shirt on him that belongs to her 9-year-old son. So, by the time I had arrived, he was in the get-up you see in the two pictures. My first thought was that he looked like a Latino gang member...so I had to get a picture. I tried to find something that would resemble a knife or gun that was accessable to me without leaving him alone on the couch, but I couldn't. So I had to work with what I had.

I know, I know...a long story that had no real point except that he blew loads of "poop" all over himself and ended the day looking like he was down with a Latino gang. It was a good day (ooh-wah)....except for poor Terry. I have to admit that I was very happy that it was her and not me, but I know mine is coming, so I didn't bust her too much about it.

Just a cute picture..no stories...just cute....

Guess Who's Almost Pulling Himself Up?

He doesn't quite get where his feet need to be placed, but it is pretty amazing to see this process unfold. He's crawling now (I would have gotten pictures but I couldn't find my camera...only to finally find it in the washing machine after I'd done a load of laundry...must have been in my pocket...so I blow dried it, let it sit for a couple of days and tried it out....lo! and behold! It works...still...even after going through an entire wash cycle! Sony's rock...and, by the way, there will be a movie of him crawling soon I hope), and now he's trying to stand up. I love being a parent and getting to see all this...amazing.

Bathtime in the Tub

He's a big boy now in the family bathtub...got his little bathtub seat...

got his toys...apparently very fond of the orange crab squirter-thing....

and I think we're wanting to rinse the hair and get out of the tub now....

I'm sure he'll be thrilled in about 10 years that about 12 people saw him naked in the tub....but what are parents for, no?
