Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on the circumstance, we are very rarely as parents allowed to enjoy a sweet treat without being bombarded, harassed, and suffocated by the onslaught of children who want nothing more than to keep us from enjoying a peaceful moment with a morsel of sweet, chocolatey delight. Colleen got me some chocolate covered strawberries for my birthday a couple of weeks ago along with some other chocolatey treats (among them bacon...overrated I think). The boys sniffed out the candy like sharks catching the scent of fresh meat in the sea...and circled around us with hungry eyes and watery mouths! We caved, of course, and we all enjoyed Daddy's birthday delicacies as a family...as we had done earlier in the week with Mommy's Valentine's Day chocolate-covered strawberries.

Ha! That last one! Matthew just could not be any prouder of his little chocolate escapade. Too funny. And those pictures of him laughing with Christopher are a riot. Christopher obviously adores the snot out of his little brother. Is this the new normal, or do they still fight spectacularly from time to time?
ReplyDeletethey usually get along pretty well, but Matthew is really starting to show is ass...he has quite a temper and is very strong-willed...They have fought, but typically they don't. Matthew will give Xman a whack when he's too close...otherwise, nothing terrible.
