As a reminder...this is what we did with Christopher's room (obviously prior to Christopher's breathing gaseous oxygen). Colleen's mother painted all the little polka-dots you see around the entire room above the chair rail. She did a great job and I'm glad she did because I wasn't going to go through that mess. Thanks, Marianne.

The living room looks great -- good work!
ReplyDeleteAnd I adore the polka dots in Christopher's room! Great work Marianne!
As an unrelated side note, I once had a dream about Alan's mom sponge painting a room in our house after I had already painted it once (turns out ALan had secretly told his mom that he didn't really like what I had done). The dream ended with me calling Alan my "skinny-assed Mama's boy of a husband." Glad your mother-in-law painting story was happier!
The painting turned out beautifully! The living room looks so much lighter and more open (despite the rather severe addition of Judge Judy). LOVE Christopher's room. As I think I've mentioned before on this blog, it looks fantastic.
ReplyDeleteAnd Emily...wow. That story made me laugh out loud. :D
Emily, my god, that dream was hillarious! How far from removed is this from really taking place?
ReplyDeleteKaren, thanks...its still not completely done, but I agree that its much more open and bright than it was with the original paint. And, Karen, Judge Judy is one of Colleen's television "vices".,,as you know, shows that we shouldn't watch, but can't help but watch them? I think we all have at least one...I have American Idol..Col's got more of those than anyone I know, but what are you going to do?
My vice shows would probably include any of the Bravo competition shows...Top Chef, Project Runway, Shear Genius, you name it. Basically if it involves a bunch of insufferable divas cooking, sewing, or cutting something, I'll be there.
