Last night, Christopher had apparently vomitted up some of his 16:00 feeing all over his crib. Colleen woke him up this morning with his head lying in a pool of wet, half-digested broccoli. He was instantly bathed, temperature taken (normal)...any applicable first aid care was completed within 2 minutes of us finding him in this state. He was noted to probably be ok after watching him eat his breakfast and making sure he was able to keep it down, which was met with success. After some deliberation between Colleen and myself, we decided that he should go to Day Care and to have her call one of us if any problems arise (We really lucked out with a great Day Care situation).
So off we went to Day Care. I dropped him off and gave her our instructions. Around 9:30 a.m., Colleen called Terry (the lady who watched Christopher during the day) to check his status. Terry laughed and told Colleen that Christopher had an "explosion" that was apparently nothing like she had ever seen. Colleen called me at work to give me the report. Colleen told me that she and Terry had talked and decided to give Christopher another chance. He had a couple more "poops," but none were of the apparent magnitude of the first. After I arrived at Terry's home to pick up Christopher I got the first hand report.
Christopher was in a high chair sitting with the other kids while they were doing some craft. She thought she smelled something and decided to check Christopher for a diaper change. When she picked him up, his back was "soggy" and there was something running slowly down his ankles. A diaper change was a definite to-do, but not before he was stripped down for a bath. At this point, she discovered that Christopher had exploded to such a degree that he had "poop" from his diaper north to the top of his neck....south down to both ankles....and had at least started a journey around his sides to such a magnitude that he had "poop" in his armpits. She immediately gave him a bath and change of diapers and clothes. No more worries.
Until later when Christopher was napping. He wet through the diaper and his spare outfit...and he had two more "poop" that paled in comparison to the Mt. St. Helens erruption that had occurred that morning. He didn't have any more spares, so Terry put a t-shirt on him that belongs to her 9-year-old son. So, by the time I had arrived, he was in the get-up you see in the two pictures. My first thought was that he looked like a Latino gang member...so I had to get a picture. I tried to find something that would resemble a knife or gun that was accessable to me without leaving him alone on the couch, but I couldn't. So I had to work with what I had.
I know, I know...a long story that had no real point except that he blew loads of "poop" all over himself and ended the day looking like he was down with a Latino gang. It was a good day (ooh-wah)....except for poor Terry. I have to admit that I was very happy that it was her and not me, but I know mine is coming, so I didn't bust her too much about it.

Wow....I laughed so hard at this story I was crying by the end. You're lucky it didn't happen on your watch! :D
